It's perfectly normal for an organism to make statistics about general informations as your country or your email preferences. Although when a case is made about each user to study the visited pages and details about their private life, unless an explicit warning is made unlike putting it in the conditions which nobody reads, trust is shattered ! That's what facebook clearly did in the article It's Our Web, Not Theirs - Let's stop big corporations from taking it over. The portrait painted in it is pretty close to what has just been described. As I don't accept that my privacy being violated, I delete right away my facebook account and I suggest all my acquaintances to do the same. Not only do you avoid to be spied on but you clearly show your disapproval.

Windows XP collect information
Same as Facebook, Windows XP is collecting information of how users are using their Windows.
it's written in the EULA, but no body is reading that ...
One way to remove that, is to use nLite and remove the "spyware" into nLite's "remove components" section!
